Enehagen School is an F–6 school centrally located in Värnamo. We have approximately 280 students and have had a new school library for two years, which we use frequently and are very proud of. We are now looking for you who want to help develop students' love of reading, language development, and information competence. We are seeking an engaged school librarian who wants to contribute to students' learning and create a vibrant school library for grades F–6.

Responsibilities

As a school librarian, you are responsible for developing and running the school library's operations in close collaboration with the school's teachers and other staff. You actively work to stimulate students' interest in reading and literature and support teaching through various reading-promoting initiatives.

The role includes, among other things:

• planning and implementing reading-promoting activities for students in grades F–6,
• guiding students in selecting literature and media,
• supporting students' development of information searching and source criticism,
• collaborating with teachers in teaching-related projects and themes,
• managing the library's media collection, purchases, and weeding,
• developing the school library as a pedagogical resource and meeting place for learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education in library and information science or other education that the employer considers equivalent. It is meritorious if you have experience working in a school library and good knowledge of children's reading and language development.

As a person, you are proactive, structured, and have an easy time building good relationships with students and colleagues. You are pedagogical in your approach and driven by inspiring children to read and learn.
